About Tsilal Ade

Tsilal Ade is a US based not for profit, tax exempt charitable organization incorporated in Maryland. Tsilal Ade is dedicated to the support and rehabilitation of primarily Eritrean refugees across Africa. We have been working for the past nine months in Libya supporting Eritrean refugees in Libya mainly women and children.

Initially we started out paying for shelters housing fifty six women and twenty four children . We also paid for milk and for personal hygiene products for the rest.      That changed when some of those we have been supporting made the trip across the Mediterranean to Europe.

Currently we are providing food for thirty six children living in Libya. We have partners in Libya to assist with the distribution of aid to those in need. About eighty percent of the funds have been personal funds. The rest, about twenty percent of the funds have come from Eritrean women groups in the United States.

The plight of Eritrean refugees continues to worsen. The conflict in Northern Ethiopia, Tigray has made matters much worse. Many Eritreans who lived there for many years are being forced to flee once again as a result. In addition some refugees have been abducted and taken back to the country they fled from. The need is immense and Eritrea ,the country that has been dubbed as biggest per capita producer of refugees hasn’t shown any sign of let up.
